Advance Analysis is run by Aaron Vance with help from partners and contractors. We are looking for a contractor who could work up to 20 hours a week and who is interested in transitioning to an employee when the business is ramped up to handle full time work. As an employee you could be very involved in shaping the evolution of Advance Analysis.
As a contractor you will do most of the work in your own location with your own equipment and software at your own pace, but meeting deadlines of course. There probably will be weekly in-person meetings. There will be opportunities to choose what work and what kind of work you want to do, and to learn about advertising, consulting, clients in various industries, as well as to learn about design, copy writing, production, list management, etc.
PHP Programmer
Most of the work will be taking over the maintenance and improvement of a custom CMS with a mobile Web element and adding on new functionality. There will be Fedora VPS maintenance for the same client. Work for two additional clients will involve site maintenance. New site development work is likely in the near future. Some technologies involved: Plesk, MySQL, a chat application, some AJAX.

- A passion for PHP programming and good organizational skills in programming
- Must own Photoshop (or GIMP) and skilled user

Analyst
We are looking for an analyst with experience running regression analysis, conducting research, interviewing subjects, and with an interest in advertising and business. A psychology graduate for example would probably make a good candidate.
Requirements:
- Two excellent references from people who know your work well
- Local to Oakland for weekly meetings and for occasional client meetings
- Experience using SPSS or SAS and skill working with large data sets
- Ability to produce reports in both Word and PowerPoint
